About me
I am a Cybersecurity Undergraduate at IIT Kanpur, into open-source work, web development and security. Happiest when something I build ends up being used by someone other than me.
Story
My time has gone into open-source work rather than a traditional internship track. I contribute upstream to projects like LibreOffice and GNOME, and took part in GirlScript Summer of Code 2026. I also keep two student tech teams moving at Jadavpur University — the Mechatronics Club software team and the IEEE student branch tech team, across web development and Godot.
Alongside that I spend a lot of hours on competitive programming, which is where the habit of reading a problem carefully before touching an editor came from. The security side — reverse engineering, forensics, systems programming — is what I am currently studying formally at IIT Kanpur.
Before IIT Kanpur I was studying Chemical Engineering at Jadavpur University. The switch was the useful disruption: I wanted to work on software and security, and the portfolio below is what I have been building since.
