My upstream work is mostly in C and C++, and split across two routes: contributions I made on my own, and work carried out through GirlScript Summer of Code 2026.
On my own: an EasyHack fix in LibreOffice core, PgUp/PgDown week navigation in gnome-calendar, and interface and results work in pdf2cbt.
Through GirlScript Summer of Code 2026: fixing a leak of private posts to unauthenticated users in Vector.
Contributing at that scale is mostly about reading a lot of unfamiliar code before touching any of it, and keeping a patch small enough that a maintainer actually has time to review it.
